Scooway T8 | Setup Guide

• Unhook the steering column from the deck hook and unfold the scooter.

• Push the folding latch in place.

• Ensure the folding latch is engaged before riding. 

How to fold the electric scooter

• Pull the folding latch out and fold the scooter down.

• Ensure the steering stem is hooked to the deck before picking up.

Step 2: Brake Check

It's good practice to check the brakes are working before riding. Pull on either brake and give the electric scooter a slight push forward and back ensuring that the brakes engage properly.

Step 3: Tire Pressure (Scooway-Lite)

Ensure the front tire is inflated to 50 - 55 PSI. 

Step 4: Charging

Plug your charger into the wall. The charger block will light up green, indicating there is power. 

Once plugged in, the charger will turn red, indicating your electric scooter is charging. 

Once charging is complete, the light will turn green.

Step 5: Start your electric scooter

Hold down the power button for 3 seconds to turn it on. 

Step 6: Lights

Front Headlight

Press the light button quickly 2 times to turn on the front head light. 

Motion Detected Deck Lights and Rear Mudguard Light

The motion detected signal lights and rear mudguard light cannot be turned off. The deck lights will signal right or left when the scooter leans in one direction.

Step 7: Changing Speed Modes

Press the light button once. Toggle through speed 1 through 3. These are speed limiters and act to limit your top speed when riding.

Step 8: Odometer and Trip Meter

Press the power button once. Toggle between odometer and trip meter. 

Step 9: Remove Battery

1. Hold the left brake lever.

2. Press the light button 3 times.

4. Press the power button 2 times.

5. You will hear a gear changing noise indicating the battery can now be removed.

6. Slide the battery back into the deck and hold the power button for 3 seconds to lock it in. The gear changing noise will indicate it is locked in. 

Step 10: Cable Lock

How to set your own passcode

1. Enter the default code: 0-0-0-0

2. Slide the switch above the passcode to the right to set a new passcode.

2. Choose a 4 digit code. 

3. Slide the switch above the passcode to the left to lock in your passcode.

How to lock the cable

1. Pull the cable wire out and string it around a bike rack. 

2. Push the wire into the locking hole.

3. To lock it in place, slide the switch above the passcode to the right.

How to unlock cable

1. Slide the switch above the passcode to the left.

2. Enter your passcode.

2. Press the button underneath the passcode combination to unlock cable. 

3. Tuck the cable away by pushing it upward into the slot. 

Step 11: Kick Start

Please kick off before pressing the throttle to start riding.
